Please get the ip address of the printer you want to connect.<br />
From the interface of the printer, go to Device -> About; Scroll down, and record the Wired IPv4 Address (xxx.xxx.xx.xxx).</p>

Once you get the printer&#8217;s ip address, please contact <a href="mailto:satt@mcmaster.ca">satt@mcmaster.ca</a>, book an appointment with us, and attach the ip address in the message. We will remote into your computer using TeamViewer. <p>Please ask your manager, make sure you have access to the drive. </p>



<p>To access your new media drive, please follow the steps below.</p>



<ol start="1" class="wp-block-list">
<li>Copy and paste the website IP in the browser and it should bring a dialog box to login.</li>



<li>Use your mac id as the username and temporary password. The system will prompt to set a new password.</li>



<li>Setup a new password of atleast 10 characters with atleast 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 number.</li>



<li>After the password is set, follow the steps below.</li>
</ol>



<p>Map&nbsp;a network drive to get to&nbsp;it from File Explorer in Windows without having to look for it or type its network address each time.</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>1. Open <strong>File Explorer</strong> from the <strong>taskbar or the Start  menu</strong>, or press the <strong>Windows logo key  + E.</strong></li>



<li>2. Select <strong>This PC</strong> from the left pane. Then, on the <strong>Computer ta</strong>b, select <strong>Map network drive</strong>. </li>

<li>3. In the <strong>Drive list</strong>, select a drive letter. (Any available letter will do.)</li>



<li>4. In the <strong>Folder box</strong>, type the path (will be provided) To connect every time you log on to your PC, select the <strong>Reconnect at sign-in</strong> check box and also check the <strong>Connect using different credentials</strong> box.</li>



<li>5. Select Finish.</li>



<li>6. In the dialog box, type <strong>“./yourmacid”</strong> and use the password that you set in the steps above.</li>

<p>For a virtual help session, we will use <strong>TeamViewer </strong>to connect to your computer. <br>Please follow the instructions below and be prepared prior to the session.</p>



<p><br>You will find your TeamViewer APP either on your desktop, or search by its name in the left bottom search bar:</p>

<p>After opening TeamViewer, you can see the following. Click the icon circled by red, it will copy your ID and Password. Paste it and send it to us (<a href="mailto:satt@mcmaster.ca">satt@mcmaster.ca</a>) 5 minutes prior to the meeting. The password will expire. Please do not close or touch anything, we will remote into your computer anytime.<br></p>

<p>After we remote in, you will see the following on the right bottom corner of your screen. Do not close it untill we said everything is done. <br>The chat box can be found in the red circle. Click that to communicate with us.</p>
